Nodine

Nicolette Nodine is a project specialist, specializing in non-profit organizations. Deeply committed to prison abolition, Nicolette’s activism is heavily influenced by familial experiences of immigration police violence and criminalization of mental illness and substance abuse. While earning her degree from the University of California-Santa Cruz, Nicolette first began organizing student-led coalitions by utilizing independent media and cross-organizational collaboration to build student power.

Before joining the Dignity & Power Now team, she worked with Roots & Routes IC to protect ancestral land rights for the La Chiquita and Guadualito people of Ecuador, as well as helping establish reparations for damage done by oil palm companies. Currently, she serves as a Project Specialist with DPN, where she is dedicated to organizational management and optimization, as well as tracking program data and impact. Born and raised in Southern California, she currently resides in Los Angeles.
