Isaiah Muhammad is a lover of people and believes the biggest disconnects happen to us when we don’t understand each other’s stories. He’s joined Dignity & Power as a Communications Manager to help express the need for an abolitionist and care-based future through the stories of those most affected by our criminal justice system and the people working to change it. His career in political communications began as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs and developed as a Media Liaison for Community Coalition and eventually culminated in serving as a political aide for the Los Angeles City Council and the California State. Most recently he led the branding and digital communication efforts at The Oasis Worldwide, a social impact organization focused on giving cultural practitioners and artists the tools they need to tell their stories. He lives in South LA with his wife and labradoodle, Zhalii.
