Nicolette Nodine is a professional executive assistant, specializing in supporting non-profit organizations. She is deeply committed to police abolition and creating a future based in transformative community healing. Growing up in Southern California, Nicolette’s activism is heavily influenced by familial experiences of immigration police violence and the criminalization of mental illness and substance abuse.
While earning her degree from the University of California-Santa Cruz, Nicolette first began organizing student-led coalitions by utilizing independent media and cross-organizational collaboration to ensure student empowerment. Before joining the Dignity & Power Now team, she worked with Roots & Routes IC to protect ancestral land rights for the La Chiquita and Guadualito people of Ecuador, as well as helping establish reparations for damage done by oil palm companies. Currently, she serves as the Executive Assistant to the Dignity and Power Now Executive Director, where she is dedicated to organizational management and optimization.
