In response to the National Night Out – a police propaganda event designed to promote community/police partnerships across the country – Ella Baker Center for Human Rights started the Night Out For Safety and Liberation! On Tuesday August 4, Dignity and Power Now, Black Lives Matter, Youth Justice Coalition, Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, STOP Coalition, Community Coalition, and Restaurant Opportunities Center of Los Angeles (ROC LA) will be participating. At 5 p.m. we will meet up at L.A. LIVE to educate and engage the community in what real public safety looks like!
